Project:

Parsons operates and maintains the TSS Improvised Explosive Device - Defeat (TSS IED-D).

The person selected will need to travel to and provide training support to the above mentioned regional locations.

Position Description:

Employee will interface with mission commander and home station training lane IEDD-Observer Controller / Trainers regarding training of the units, development and execution of scripts during rotations, pre-rotational briefings, and after-action meetings and reports. Employee will provide in-depth assessments, oral and written, of unit performance and present feedback to the unit using the After Action Review process at the completion of the exercise. He/she will provide direction, advice, counsel, and assistance to any OPFOR or COB personnel that augment the live training experience. Additionally, he/she will prepare, update and teach the use of Improvised Explosive Devices-Defeat (IED-D) training aids, devices and simulators and will attend necessary meetings and conferences to maintain awareness of current theater issues, IEDD capabilities, and new IEDD devices and training aids.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • More than 6 years prior military experience with demonstrated leadership in training and assessing
  • Experience in employing Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) in live training
  • Proof of US citizenship or US permanent residency
  • Security Clearance: SECRET
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position might also call for repeated bending/climbing/standing in inclement weather conditions.
Preferred:
  • Deployment in support of Operations
  • Knowledgeable in all range operations, capabilities, and procedures
  • Practical working knowledge of IED Defeat and Counter IED organization and doctrine
  • A working knowledge of counterinsurgency operations and doctrine is desired.

Security Clearance Requierments:
  • Seceret clearance required
