CAD Operator

Project
Parsons looks forward to providing Operations & Maintenance management and supervision services for all O&M projects and contracts led by the Jeddah Municipality. We will coordinate and effectively manage the ongoing and up-coming Operations & Maintenance, renovation and improvement projects / contracts. It is our responsibility to provide complete O & M management services including: operations, maintenance, construction & maintenance management, supervision,
coordination, scheduling, administration, inspection, quality assurance materials testing, shop & as-built drawings and
O & M documents submittal review and approval coordination, project records, preparation of work or job orders,
checking of interim claims and its recommendations to Jeddah Municipality and settling of final accounts and close-out
documents for the multiple O & M project/s or contracts signed between Jeddah Municipality and Contractors /
consultants.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Performs basic to moderately-difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques. Under the general direction of a higher-level Designer/Drafter, the incumbent at this level typically takes engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings. Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of equipment, facilities, and systems, and their interrelationships within a particular engineering discipline.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Becomes familiar with various standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. Understands how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, as well as 2-4 years of relevant experience.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Requirements include PC literacy, a working knowledge of CAD, and a working knowledge of other computer software used to complete design assignments.
