- 10+ years of relevant resident engineering experience with constructing transportation infrastructure, with the majority of that experience on Caltrans bridge projects
- Must have field experience as this is a field engineering role
- Capable of performing stress and deflection calculations for false work, temporary shoring, working platforms, temporary supports, etc.
- In depth understanding of bridge construction and retrofitting including stress sheets, anchor bolt layouts, overhead sign structures, fabrication and erection plans, demolition plans, equipment cofferdams, false work, temporary support systems, cast-in-drilled hole pile mitigation, haul bridges, and form-work
- 4-year degree in engineering or construction-related field
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
