Project
Parsons is working under several Caltrans contracts to assure the bridges in California are being built in accordance with approved plans and specifications as well as following accepted industry practices and procedures. Primarily, we are providing this support in the counties along, or adjacent to, the North and East borders of California. Our work is assigned based on approved budgets and schedule. As such, our bridge construction inspector positions are contingent upon award of task orders and require the team to spend several months at the assigned locations.
Need
Parsons is seeking experienced Bridge Construction Inspectors to assure California bridges are being built in accordance with approved and accepted plans, specifications, industry practices and agency procedures. The successful candidates should have experience in all phases of bridge construction inspection including foundation, substructure and superstructure. Responsibility includes inspection of false work, temporary shoring, working platforms, temporary supports, cofferdams, CIDH and CISS pile, deck construction, post-tensioning and grouting, overhead sign structures, haul bridges, and demolition. In addition, you will inspect bridge deck replacements and rehabilitation, retaining wall construction, polyester concrete installation and methacrylate overlays. The candidate should be able to collect samples and conduct quality assurance field-controlled tests of construction materials in accordance with California Test Methods (CTMs) or American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) procedures. In this position, your efforts will help ensure health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable regulations set forth by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (CAL-OSHA) and as written in the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
