OVERVIEW:
Performs and leads a variety of geotechnical engineering tasks for environmental projects, such as landfills closure, remedial excavations, slurry walls, and solidification projects. Tasks consist of developing and implementing geotechnical investigation programs, performing remedial detail designs, writing reports and technical specifications, developing design drawings, performing calculations (settlement, slope stability), working with and mentoring staff, completing construction field assignments (as needed), and obtaining the necessary staff and financial management skills to grow into a Task/Project Manager. Candidate must also implement behavior-based safety tools to strive for incident free operations (no personal injuries, property damage or environmental releases) for both the Client and Parsons.
Performs conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. The Engineer at this level is proficient in the utilization of standard engineering theories and practices, and Company procedures. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected.
